Welcome to 2017

Happy New Year Y’all,

I’m so glad we made it through 2016.

One thing that has been on my mind is to start  ‘doing what I know.’ Often times, we know so much and do so little. For me, this is the time to stop accumulating more knowledge without application especially because I know the power is in applied knowledge. So for a start, I’m making a decision to be more deliberate about documenting my journey in 2017. I already know what Habbakuk 2:2 says (And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables…) I have applied it in part previously as regards my goals. Now, I will be more deliberate and consistent about writing it all down. I will be more deliberate about praising through it all too.

There is something about writing it down and here I am not speaking merely about goals, I am speaking about documenting my dreams, my questions, the promises and answers, I’m talking about everything. I’m starting out with my declarations and affirmations for 2017. I have them in writing. I have my goals broken down into different categories on a grid so I can track growth but beyond that I have decided to deliberately document the promises and words God gives me as I journey and exercise my faith. Was speaking to my friend who recently closed off a journal she’s been writing in for 4 years. Just looking back through what God said to her 4 years ago and seeing those alive today made us both joyful and reinforced my need to do that now. I also am going back to confessing aloud. We must go beyond meditating on what He’s promised to actively speaking.  I confess that I haven’t been doing so much of that.

StupendousGrace is one of the avenues to express what I am hearing and learning as I journey. I will be here a lot more often this year and I encourage you to journey with me and hold me accountable. Don’t give up on me just yet.

Here’s my heart felt prayer for you:

‘That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints’ Ephesians  1:17-18

I pray that this verse will be a daily testimony and experience for us all in 2017.

Have a fruitful year.
