LOUD IT : Transformation Agenda

Welcome to the second half of the year. I apologize for my silence for most of the first half. Forgive me. I’m back now.

I feel God inspiring me to share testimonies this month, to amplify the workings of God around me. I feel some of us are getting weary of believing, and I am sharing a few testimonies to show that God Can!!! I think we may not be telling the stories of what God does in our lives enough, so the theme is ‘LOUD IT’.

The biggest testimony I have ever heard or seen is one about the miracle of transformation of a man by the Spirit. God expects that, when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are radically changed.

Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! 2 Cor. 5:17. AMP

I went to church for midweek service on Wednesday and when we were done, a young man asked to speak with me. Let’s call him Osas. I assumed he probably wanted us to talk and pray about something.

As we spoke, he said He just wanted to say thank you. He had seen the transformational work of the Holy Spirit in his life since he committed to walking with God and he was taking time out to thank everyone God had used along the journey. Honestly, I didn’t think I was worthy of this level of appreciation but like I usually say, what one appreciates says more about them than it does the object of appreciation. I was really touched that he was coming back to say thank you.

I first met him about 2 years ago or so. At the time, I was privileged to serve in the Follow Up department of my home church so I was first contact for many first timers. I immediately remembered the first time I spoke to him and quickly chronicled his journey all through his commitment at great cost to attend discipleship classes, and how he later got engaged with serving.

I remembered his personal challenges and how slowly but steadily, one after the other, God dealt his issues. From the young man that needed some direction for his life, from one that was seeking for an intimate walk with God, I saw a man that was committed to God and knew his identity.

I saw a man that acknowledged the workings of God in His life. To make it even more touching, he brought out an envelope with money. He had kept some brand new naira notes to say thank you. At that point, I held back my tears. It’s one thing for God to change men but its humbling for God to work through us – flesh that we are – to carry out His agenda.

Today, I am testifying about the transformational power of the Holy Ghost. God does not leave men the way He meets them. As we seek Him and build intimacy, our lives become productive and we understand that we have treasures in earthenware vessels. So I am here to ‘Loud It’. The Holy Spirit is a transformational spirit. He changes the way we respond to life and challenges and it’s from inside out. By reason of His ‘Transformation Agenda’, we have peace amid the storm.

I don’t know where you are in life. Perhaps your faith has become all religion and a church attending activity. Let this testimony encourage you. There is more! I am saying today,

‘I am tired of the status quo,

there’s gotta be more than this…

there’s gotta be more than this.’

The transforming power of the Holy Spirit is alive. Give God your life and see him do wonders with it like He did with Osas.
